Self employed
You cannot downgrade to a lower version of TurboTax without clearing and starting over. However, by clearing and starting over, you will lose all the information entered thus far.
If you are no longer self-employed, however, you can delete your Schedule C from your return.
To delete your Schedule C, please follow the instructions below:
- Open your return.
- Search for Schedule C with the magnifying glass tool on the top of the page.
- Select the Jump to Schedule C link in the search results.
- If you get to a self-employment summary screen, delete the self-employment income line with the trash can icon. Otherwise, select No to the question Did you have any self-employment income or expenses?
- Click on Tax Tools on the left-hand side.
- Click on Tools.
- Click on Delete a Form.
- Scroll down to your forms and look for form you need to remove (Schedule C) and click Delete.
