Self employed
Hobby income is taxable in CT. There is no specific exclusion for hobby income in CT. The difference of how it is taxed is mostly federal. If it is hobby income for federal, it is not subject to SE taxes. If it is self-employment income for federal it is subject to SE Tax.
When it comes to the state, all of the earned income/profit is taxed the same. Hobby income would be taxed the same as SE income.
- On the menu bar on the left that shows.
- Select Tax Tools
- On the drop-down select Tools
- On the Pop-Up menu select Delete a Form
- This will give you all of the forms in your return
- Scroll down to the form you want to delete
- Select the Form
- Click on Delete.
Always use extreme caution when deleting information from your tax return. There could be unintended consequences.
