Filed as a non-filer accidentally but am a 1099 employee who usually owes at the end of year
I wanted to submit my direct deposit information with the IRS for my stimulus check. I normally file as a 1099 employee and owe taxes at the end of the year. I have not filed for 2019. I accidentally used the non- filer option. I know at least one other person who did the same and they did receive the payment. I have not received my stimulus payment and when I go to Get My Payment on the IRS site I keep getting 'Payment Status Not Available' Message. I'm afraid that because I used the wrong tool to submit my direct deposit information that I messed something up. I meet all of the criteria to receive a payment and probably should have received it by now. What should I do?
