@naomi9081 TurboTax NEVER knows about offsets to your refund, whether it is for back taxes, student loans or child support.  TT does not know if the IRS took your refund.  You said they took it.  When the IRS (or state) offsets a refund, the letter comes a few weeks later.   Your only source of information about this is going to be the IRS and/or the agency that may have put in an order to offset your refund for child support.  You can check with the Bureau of Fiscal Services -- if you have not already done so.
