Tax help for military filers
Not sure where you are seeing this.
BUT, some states offer some pay deductions for their Nat Guard, or Reserve Army folks who are not actually on active duty, but go to, usually, weekend training activities during the month, but also have civilian jobs during the workweek. They may also have a couple weeks of "Annual" training...most are during summer months, but I think that a few special units may have winter training instead.
This does not apply to Active Duty Military (meaning full-time) ...though there might also be some other pay deductions for those folks...depending on what state is involved.
