Retirement tax questions
What year are you preparing a return for? There is no such thing as a "short form" for any tax year after 2017. There are no more 1040EZ or 1040A forms. Everyone who is filing a 2019 return is using a Form 1040. Do you expect to have enough medical expenses to exceed 7.5% of your AGI? If not, they will have no effect, and if you do not have enough other itemized deductions like mortgage interest, property taxes, etc., then entering your Part D amount will not affect your tax return at all.
