Retirement tax questions

You are attempting to enter the 1099-R in the WRONG FORM

A W-2 is for working wages only.

A 1099-R has it's own unique form, on the Wage&Income page, but down in the Retirement income section...

IF you aren't  getting an actual W-2 form an employer this year, just work your way out of that W-2, and then DELETE the entire W-2  (If you are past it already, go back and delete it)

Then find the actual 1099-R section to enter that form...an actual 1099-R.
