Retirement tax questions
The IRS does not need to know where you rolled your money to. The code G in box 7 confirms it is a rollover. A rollover is not taxable so that is the reason there is no amount in box 2a. Evidently the account you rolled over was not an IRA/SEP/Simple. Was it maybe a 401k account? Form 5498 is not required to be included with your return.
