Retirement tax questions
Just attach a blank sheet with your explanation on it. Make sure you clearly indicate which form(s) and line(s) the worksheet(s) go to.
In my experience, the IRS doesn't look at the worksheets unless a subsequent review indicates that there is something amiss.
If the main forms and numbers match what the IRS has received from other quarters and they are internally consistent, then you are probably OK.
Good luck with it, and keep a light on for us for the next time we come across the pond (well, not just "us" but all the yanks).
