If you haven't already filed this return, you don't need to do anything. It is "suspended" until you decide to file it. The information stays in your online account until October 16 this year.
If you have already filed, you can still contribute to an IRA as long as you do that by April 18. After your return is fully processed (refund received or payment accepted), you can amend the return to report the IRA contribution.
