Though, it might depend on what the 1099-G was received for.
1) IF it was a 2024 state tax return "Refund", and you used the Std Deduction for your 2024 Fed taxes, then it isn't needed in the 2025 Fed tax return, and no "Amended " file will be needed.
2) AGAIN: IF it was a 2024 state tax return "Refund", and you used "itemized" deductions on your 2024 Federal tax return...then the refund may need to be included in Fed 2025 income. You might have to amend...but you should check all your Federal printouts for 2025. If it has a Schedule 1, with line 1 filled in already...with that 1099-G State refund $$ amount in that line 1......then that refund has already been accounted for an you won't need to amend.
