TurboTax never knows how, when or even if you paid your tax due. TT receives no information from the IRS after you file your tax return. TT would never know if you actually mailed a check, if the check bounced, if you used a credit card that was declined, etc. Your only proof that you paid your tax due is your own bank statement or credit card statement.
