Information flows from your federal return to your state return. You should have a 1099R for your retirement benefits, which you must enter on your federal return--and then that information will go to the AL return.
To enter your retirement income, Go to Federal> Wages and Income>Retirement Plans and Social Security>IRA 401 k) Pension Plan Withdrawals to enter your 1099R.
