Retirement tax questions
You will get a 1099R for a distribution you took from a retirement account. Some or all of that might be your RMD (Required Minimum Distribution) If you do not know the amount for the RMD the custodian of the plan can tell you how much your RMD amount was. If you have a 1099R for a pension, you say it was all an RMD.
To enter your retirement income, Go to Federal> Wages and Income>Retirement Plans and Social Security>IRA 401 k) Pension Plan Withdrawals to enter your 1099R.
