Retirement tax questions

Did you have a 1099-G in the past?  If so, some of that information may have transferred over from a prior tax return that you filed through TurboTax.

To delete income forms (including forms W-2, 1098, 1099, and K-1) is to do it from the summary screen for that particular form.  See image below.

Add/Delete/Edit Forms:

  1. Open your return (if not already open).
  2. Enter "1099g"  in the Search box.
  3. Click on "Jump to 1099G" link.
  4. See if that takes you to a summary screen.  Answer "Yes" if you had this form or "No" if you did not.  Or remove the 1099g on this screen by selecting the trash icon

Here's the general procedure for viewing a list of all the forms in your return and deleting unwanted forms, schedules, and worksheets in TurboTax Online:

  1. Open or continue your return.
  2. On Tax Home, select Start, Continue, or Pick up where you left off to enter your return.
  3. In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools.
  4. In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
  5. Select Delete next to the form, schedule, and worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.
