Retirement tax questions
No, enter as a 1099-R. It will be entered under Retirement Plans section of the Income and Expenses. When you add the 1099-R. Military retirees receive a 1099-R tax form. Refer to the DFAS website Getting Your 1099-R for more information.
Follow the steps below to enter your 1099-R:
- Select Federal
- Select Income and Expenses
- Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
- Select Start or Update by IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R).
