TurboTax will only send the SSN that has been entered in the program for your spouse. Assuming the SSN is correct and the IRS is rejecting the tax return with an IND 941-01 -
- IND-941: The Spouse SSN in the return has been locked because Social Security Administration records indicate the number belongs to a deceased individual.
There is no resolution that TurboTax can initiate since, based on the rejection code, this has to be resolved by the SSA who provides this information to the IRS.
