Retirement tax questions
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS AND SSI?
https://www.ssa.gov/ssi/text-over-ussi.htm
You will not receive a tax document for SSI. SSI is not entered on a tax return.
If you are getting Social Security benefits (including Social Security Disability) you will get a SSA1099 in January which you enter on your tax return.
Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.
