I don't know about ETFs, but for Mutual Funds, the $$ are reported as a sub-part of the total $$ in box 1a of a 1099-DIV form . Then you have to calculate yourself, the proper US Govt $$ amount based on all your holdings, the $$ reported for each of your holdings from the Consolidated 1099-B Supplemental forms.
