Retirement tax questions
I agree with @DoninGA, it may be best to delete your Forms 1099-R and start over. Enter it manually.
Follow these steps to delete your 1099-R in TurboTax:
- Go to Form 1099-R
- Select the trash can next to your 1099-R and then answer Yes
Then manually enter your Form 1099-R exactly as it is shown.
Here's where to enter your 1099-R in TurboTax:
- Open or continue your return
- In the Federal section, select Wages & Income
- Scroll to locate Retirement Plans and Social Security, and select Show more
- Select Start or Revisit next to IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)
Select enter it myself.
