Yes. There is no age at which you become exempt from paying tax.    And if you are married it will be better to file a joint return.   If you file separate returns more of his SS will be taxable.  His SSA1099 goes on your joint return.

 

 Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security  (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.
