Make sure you are using the Interview...do not try any of this in Forms Mode...won't work (And I'm using Online software...so I can't see if the Desktop interview matches exactly or not)
box 14 can either be empty, or will be back-filled with the box 2a value...even if it's empty on your paper 1099-R.
1) Down below that click on the "Continue" button
2) next page...it is NOT an IRA so "No, the box is blank" and "Continue"
3) next page Yes or No to the Public Safety Officer ad "Continue"
4) IF "No" to #3, this next page is the one I'm talking about and my picture: "Where Is This Distribution From?"
IF box 14 was blank on the main page the KS distribution amount will be box 2a, and will back-fill box 14 if it was empty before. ...then continue carefully thru the rest of the interview.
