Retirement tax questions
Hi @DoninGA @Cynthiad66 @JulieS , Since the Cares Act expired in 2020, I read about a subsequent stimulus package extended the early retirement distribution repayment period to 3 years (10% early withdrawal penalty still applies). I was wondering if this exception was extended to 2022. I can’t seem to find any information on this topic for 2022 and whether it has reverted back to the original rules of repayment in 60 days. I’m particularly concerned with the income recognition rule, and whether the 3 year break could still be applied on 2022 withdrawal, or do I need to recognize income in the current year? Thank you!
