It depends on whether or not you submitted your return for filing. If you have, I would suggest to wait until the return is accepted or rejected by the IRS. If it is rejected, then you can make the changes and re-submit. If it is accpented, then you will need to amend your return to reconcile your mistakes. IRS will not be accepting returns until 02/12 so I would wait until after that date. Normally the amend option is not available until early March. If you have not submitted your return yet, you can clear and start over. This will wipe out all you information from TurboTax and you can start fresh. If you already paid for your return, you will not have that option.
