IF you are attempting to import a 1099-R from a provider, you should note that in prior years, a number of institutions have taken down their specially tax-formatted 1099-R forms for software import by this time of year...some have taken them out by the end of July (at least in prior years). This has nothing to do with their PDF forms of 1099-Rs that may be available in your account, as those are not importable tax files.
IF you are attempting to import yours, and you do not see any importable forms, then you'll have to go thru the "I'll type it in myself" procedure and use your paper 1099-R /PDF forms instead to enter the data manually.
