Utah allows for a tax credit for taxes paid to other states instead of a deduction of income earned in other states. Your Utah income on your return will be all of your income from CA and UT since you are a resident of UT. You would need to visit the credit section of your Utah return to enter the amount of taxes you pay to CA.
In order to claim the credit, you would fill out form TC-40S. If you cannot find the credit as you walk through the interview section of TurboTax, you can use the jump to link and search for form TC-40S.
