I called turbotax and a lady that tried to help me told me to go through the whole process of printing the taxes (yes im in new mexico and completed both federal and nm state tax). Once I marked the taxes as printed, we tried again but it still didnt let me download it.
In the desktop version I dont see any place where to install the state program you guys mention. Help Plse! :(
If you paid the TurboTax online account fees you can download both a PDF and .tax file of the 2021 tax return.
For the PDF -
Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Then click on Print Center. Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return. Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets
For the .tax file -
Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Click on Tools. Click on Save your 2021 return to your computer
Using the TurboTax desktop editions installed on your personal computer, to download the state program -
You have to start the TurboTax program and enter your personal information for the 2021 tax return. Then click on Online at the top of the desktop program screen. Click on Download State.
