To add your 1098 (form OMB) to your return, try this:
If this is an interest paid for your student loan or mortgage interest, follow these steps with your return Open:
- Go to Federal Taxes

Then deductions and credits
- scroll down to either Education or Your Home, depending on the type of interest paid
- Click Start or Revisit next to the category you need (screen shot attached to this answer)
- Follow the prompts
Alternatively,
- With your return open, search for "1098" and then select the "Jump to" link in the search results.
- Answer any preliminary questions, and you'll then be asked for the name of your mortgage company. Enter the name and select Continue.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to enter the rest of your 1098 info.
