You do not enter your K-1 information directly to your Schedule E. To correct this you need to delete your Schedule E and verify your K-1 is entered correctly.
To do this in TurboTax Online you can follow these steps:
- Within your return in TurboTax Online search for Schedule E.
- Click the Jump to link in the search results.
- Delete the self-employment income line with the trash can icon.
- Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen.
- Click on Delete a Form.
- Scroll down to your Schedule C and Schedule SE and click Delete if they are still there.
- Search for K-1 and progress through the questions for entering the data from your form
- Schedule E is automatically populated and does not need to be linked
