Nothing really happens if you submit it twice tax wise, it is just a form for them to issue you a 1099 at the end of the year basically and report your gross receipts to the IRS. It would be like if you had more than one job. As far as what Amazon does, you would have to check with them.
If you do have something wrong on your W9, when they send you your tax forms you would need to contact them with the correct information for correct reporting.
