When you use the "Delete a Form" tool in TurboTax, you also have to delete any forms and worksheets that are associated with the Schedule D.
Why is this necessary? - The Schedule D is created by the program when you enter transactions that are reported on a Schedule D (e.g. 1099-B, 1099-DIV). Unless you delete those entries first, you cannot delete the Schedule D.

After deleting any associated entries, worksheets and statements, log out of the program. When you log back in, use the Delete a Form tool (List of Forms in My Return) to confirm these entries, worksheets and statements have been removed from your return.
