You will need to file an amended return to correct the Social Security Number used on the Schedule C if your return has already been accepted by the IRS.

 

There will be no numerical changes in your return by making this change, but it is important due to the self-employment tax.  With the incorrect SSN, the wrong person will be getting credit for the income with regard to Social Security.
