Currently there is no built-in feature to automatically alphabetize a list of charities in TurboTax Online or within the "Step-by-Step" interview mode of TurboTax Desktop.
In TurboTax Desktop 2025, there is a technical workaround using Forms Mode to sort your data.
Here's how:
- Select the Forms icon in the upper-right corner of your screen.
- In the list of forms on the left, locate and select the Charitable Contributions Worksheet (or the Schedule A Worksheet section for donations).
- Click on any line within the table where your charities are listed.
- Go to the Edit menu at the top of your program.
- Select Sort Table.
- A dialog box will appear; choose to sort by Charity Name in Ascending order.
- Click OK. This will reorganize your current list alphabetically.
