OK several things to clear up here.   2024 is the year we are doing now.  You can't import a .tax2024 file for anything.    Creating the 1099 forms is a completely separate process  from your personal 1040 return.  They do not sync.

 

You don't have to type them in twice except if you mean to enter it on your schedule C in your personal return.  You either use the online QEF Quick Employer Forms which you can efile to the IRS.  OR Create them on the Desktop program which you will have to print and mail  to the IRS yourself.  Neither way will enter them into Schedule C.

 

Then on your schedule C in y our personal return you just enter the total for all the 1099NEC forms as Contract Labor on line 11.
