Deductions & credits
You should be able to add a second vehicle for your work related expenses and have that amount deducted. Since you are using TurboTax "Self Employed," you are able to enter this amount directly into your online account and it will calculate the vehicle expenses for you. In order to add a second vehicle, please follow the steps that are listed out below:
To Enter Your Job-Related Expenses:
1. Select "Federal" at the top of the page
2. Select the "Deductions & Credits" sub-tab
3. Scroll down to "Employment Expenses" and select "Show More"
4. Select "Start/Revisit" next to "Job-Related Expenses"
5. Select "Edit" next to your occupation(Or enter it when asked)
6. Continue through the next few screens answering questions until you are asked to enter your vehicle info
7. If you drove you can also deduct mileage when you get to that screen
8. Choose to enter your actual expenses when asked and you will arrive to a screen to enter gas expenses, tire expenses, oil expenses, parking etc.
Once you add the second vehicle into your account (the RV in your case) you will be able to see if TurboTax accepted that vehicle expense as deductible or not.
I hope this information guides you in a positive direction! If not, please feel free to comment back and I will do everything in my power to assist you to the best of my abilities.
