Added a new roof and 3 windows to my house.can I write them off on my taxes?

Deductions & credits
If this is your personal residence, not used in a business or as a rental, then the cost of any improvements you make are added to the basis of the home when it is sold. You cannot deduct improvements on a personal residence.
