Wait if you want to. The IRS does not begin to accept/reject 2023 e-files until January 29. You have plenty of time to file. Congress is considering a change to the child tax credit, but there is no telling if --or when-- the change will pass. But...remember when Congress changed the tax law for unemployment in mid-tax season a couple of years ago and what a mess that was? Folks who had filed early then had to wait and get additional refunds--sometimes months later.
