Deductions & credits

Please read all of the links that were provided to you.   You should receive a 1099NEC; but even if you do not receive a 1099NEC, you will be able to enter your self-employment income.   If you do not have a W-2 from any other job, then you just skip W-2's and/or tell the software you do not have a W-2.   If you have a job for which you receive a W-2 then you enter it ---- ALL of your income goes on the SAME tax return.

To enter your self-employment income not reported on a 1099NEC

  1. When in your account, select the Take Me to My Return button on the main screen.
  2. Type “Schedule C” in the Search box
  3. Select the “Jump to” link.
  4. Answer the general questions about your business (or select Edit at the work summary screen).
  5. At the Let’s get income for… screen, select Additional Income.

If you did make $600 or more, contact the company or individual you worked for.
