You'd probably have to print out the Schedule A to see where it's coming from.
Lines 5a-thru-5e of the Schedule A should show you where the excess is coming from.
IF line 5a is over 10k, then it is coming from State and local income taxes.
.....5b is for property taxes/real estate taxes
.....5c is for Personal Property taxes.

If it's all from line 5a, then you'd need to get a look at the Tax Payments Worksheet to weasel out exactly what the sources were that caused the State/Local taxes to exceed 10k
