There doesn't seem to be anything in the form 8889 instructions that says to use the "net" amount of contributions on line 2.
Also for line 13 it says:
"To figure your excess contributions (including those made on your behalf), subtract your deductible contributions (line 13) from your actual contributions (line 2). "
So if I do it with what turbotax provided I will get 0 (line 2 - line 13). What is not correct.
I tried to file form 8889 in two other programs and in both cases I got 3,600 for line 2.
