Yes, you can see that information if you preview your 1040:
- Open or continue your return.
- Select Tax Tools in the left menu (if you don't see this, select the menu icon in the upper-left corner).
- With the Tax Tools menu open, you can then view your 1040 form: Select Tools. Next, select View Tax Summary in the pop-up, then Preview my 1040 in the left menu
- Scroll down until you see Schedule 3 Line 11 Excess social security and tier 1 RRTA tax withheld.
If your employers combined to withhold more than $8,853.60 in Social Security, the excess amount should appear here. If you do not have a Schedule 3 or it does not appear there, make sure that both W-2s are in your name and the social security tax is correctly entered. Upon entering your second W-2, TurboTax should have notified you that you had excess withheld and you are going to get that back on your tax return.
