It's too early to file an amendment. You need to wait for the IRS to process your original return. You will get one of two indications.
1). The IRS will normally catch missing or incorrect W2s. They will send you a letter notifying you of the error and give you instructions on what to do if you agree or if you disagree with their findings.
2). If your refund is deposited that is also an indication that your return has been processed. In this case the IRS did not catch the error and you will be able to file your amended return at that time.
