If you have not e-filed your return yet, you would remove a dependent by revisiting the Dependents section:
- Open or continue in TurboTax
- Select My info in the left navigation
- Select the trash can icon next to the name of a dependent to remove them, Turbotax will ask you to confirm removing them before they are taken off your return
If you have already filed and your return was accepted by the IRS, you will need to file an amended return. The amended forms will not be available until later this week.
