To clarify it more. Amending your 2020 return will not increase the $1008 check you got. That is a done deal. 2020 is over. They will not use 2020 anymore to refigure it.
They will use your 2021 income to see if you get any remaining amount. So you might have shot yourself in the foot by moving more income to 2021.
