@louievee This might be in left field----but are you being affected by the WEP----the Windfall Elimination Provision? Did you accidentally enter your own pension and your wife's SSA1099 under your own Social Security number? Is the SS being affected by WEP?

Make sure that on your joint return you are entering each spouse's income under the correct spouse name and Social Security number.
