7pm 12/31 --- trying to decide if I should make an extra charitable contribution to offset capital gains, can't figure out how to do it because can't enter actual cap. gains
If you are using the TurboTax desktop editions installed on your personal computer, click on Forms. When in Forms mode click on Open Form in the upper left of the screen. Type in 1099-B worksheet. On the result click to open. Use the 1099-B worksheet to report any investment sales with a gain or loss. Those will be entered on the Schedule D and Form 8949 which are included in Forms mode and entered on your Form 1040.
