Next year ... follow these directions ...
- Log in and open your return ("take me to my return.")
- With the return open, click in the left menu column on Tax Tools, then choose TOOLS.
- In the Tools window click the blue button Topic Search.
- Enter the word itsdeductible (one word) without quotes, highlight the selection, and click GO.
- Next screen asks: "Did you make any donations to charity in 2018?"
- When you say "yes", the next screen is: "Do you have an account with ItsDeductible Online?"
- Say "yes" and continue the interview.
AND, when using the Online software, it doesn't need to ask for your ItsDeductible account.
Why? Because the Online tax software will only upload ItsDeductible data from an ItsDeductible account with the exact-same UserID. If you have an ItsDed account which is in a different UserID, then you can't import that data into your Online tax file. Make sure you always enter your charity data into the ItsDed account with the same UserID/pwd as your Online tax account.
Desktop software works differently, and asks for ItsDed UserID/pwd to login to get the data.
