You are using the 2017 program, right? And starting with the original .tax2017 file? Can you post a screen shot of the message or page? Are you using the full 2017 program or the special downloaded amend program? You might need to update the program. Are you saying it's using the wrong EIC table amounts (see below) or it's using your 2016 income to disqualify you?
2017 Earned Income and Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) must each be less than:
$48,340 ($53,930 married filing jointly) with three or more qualifying children
$45,007 ($50,597 married filing jointly) with two qualifying children
$39,617 ($45,207 married filing jointly) with one qualifying children
$15,010 ($20,600 married filing jointly) with no qualifying children
