Questions on energy savings improvements
I have some questions on the tax credit for energy-savings improvements. Last year I remodeled the garage attached to my main residence. I had insulation blown into the garage walls and attic above the garage. I also installed radiant heating in the garage floor. The radiant heating required installing a new hot water heater powered by natural gas in my basement. My understanding is I can claim the cost for the insulation materials but not the labor to install it. Is this correct? Also can I claim any of the cost for the radiant floor heating?
