Do I need to report qualified expenses for year I'm not qualified for HDHP?
This year I have a PPO. Last year I had an HDHP. For this year, do I need to report qualified expenses for my HSA on my 8889 form if I have no HSA contributions or qualification for a HDHP?
For example, I don't contribute anything to HSA this year. I visit the doctor and pay $25 for my visit using my HSA debit card this year.
In this example, I don't think I need to report my $25 since it's a qualified expense and I have no HSA contributions to report. Or did I miss where I need to put it?
